FEEDing the Community: September 2019
We’re busy preparing for a fall season filled with community events. Join us in the fun and support some great organizations.
Along with The League of Women Voters, we invite you to join us for an evening of gourmet food, jazz, art and a little bit of history. On Wednesday, September 18th experience Chattanooga and Hamilton County Historian Linda Moss Mines’ portrayal of Chattanooga suffragist Abby Crawford Milton.
Join us at the Tennessee Aquarium on Thursday, September 19th for Serve and Protect supporting sustainable seafood. Highlighting their mission to connect people with nature and empower them to make informed decisions about water and wildlife, we will prepare a delicious dinner of sustainably caught seafood.
We’re teeing off on Saturday, September 28th for the 16th Annual Camp Lookout Golf Tournament at The Bear Trace at Harrison Bay. The event will begin with breakfast, putting and registration at 7am and a shotgun start at 8am. There will be prizes for the top 4 teams, longest drive, closest to the hole, and longest putt.
Now in its 16th year, the annual event helps to fund the mission of Camp Lookout, to provide places, occasions and programs of camp and retreat ministry for the children, youth and adults of the Holston Conference and surrounding areas to encourage and nurture the knowledge, experience and expression of the love of Christ. Through these programs and facilities, they enable each of God’s children, of all ages, to experience Christ’s love in God’s creation.
Stay tuned as we fill our calendar with more great community events!
