FEEDing the Community: October Events Edition
We’re falling into another season filled with cold drinks, mouth-watering food, events, and of course, great company. Here’s where you can find us FEEDing the community this fall.
Monday, October 15th: We’re partnering with Breakaway Outreach for their 8th annual Champions Fore Kids golf event on Monday, October 15th at The Bear Trace at Harrison Bay. Proceeds from the event help to champion spiritual enrichment, shape social resilience and foster hope in kids facing adversity.
Monday, October 15th: We’ll be at Black Creek Golf Course on Monday, October 15th for the Honoring the Sacrifice Golf Tournament. Founded in 2013 by wounded United States Army Sgt. Andrew Smith and his wife, Tori, the Honoring the Sacrifice Foundation financially and materially assists severely injured men and women and their immediate family members whose injuries were incurred while serving our country.
Now in their 5th year, the golf tournament raised over $50,000 last year alone to help support our veterans. We’d love to see you on the course!
Tuesday, October 16th: We’re heading to Council Fire Golf Club on Tuesday, October 16th for the 7th Annual Hullco Heritage Golf Tournament. Considered one of the premier Chattanooga tournaments, they have raised over $500,000 for local charities.
Thursday, October 18th: We’re headed to the Chattanooga Convention Center, along with our friends at 1885 Grill and Tremont Tavern for the 11th Annual Not-So-Silent Auction. Proceeds from the silent and live auctions will benefit the Northside Neighborhood House and support their programs, providing a hand up to neighbors in need. Last year alone, NNH served 5,000 people through emergency direct assistance services and education programs.
Sunday, October 21st: Join us for an evening of great music as we partner with family, friends and the great folks at Songbirds for Hunter’s Gift: A Musical Tribute with a Message of Hope.
The celebration will bring together some of the area’s most talented musicians and Hunter’s closest friends to enjoy what he loved most.
Featured acts for the tribute include:
Dubconscious, The Fridge, The Communicators featuring Members of Mdhats, Doghouse Riley & Digital Butter, Jordan Hallquist & The Outfit, Slim Pickins, B.J. Hightower, Amber Fults, Jonathan Wimpee, Function: With A “C” featuring Darren Self & Brittany Ammons, Mike McDade, Tiffany Taylor, and Carden Smith & The Heat
Join us as we remember drummer Hunter White and raise awareness for local mental health resources. A $10 donation is requested at the door to benefit Shakin’ Ray Levi Society and their T.R.A.P. rhythmic arts project that uses drumming activities to enhance the lives of individuals with disabilities.
We look forward to seeing you for a night of great music celebrating a great person!
Thursday, October 25th: We will be at the Children’s Advocacy Center for Art for Advocacy. Art for Advocacy is a unique opportunity for friends of the CAC to sponsor curated artwork for the Center. The artwork by local artists will provide a warm, safe and welcoming space for every child who walks in our doors.
Join us this October as we help to provide for a community that always supports us!
