FEED Family Spotlight: Josh Baldwin

Quiet, yet witty, Josh Baldwin has been a staple behind the bar since opening in August of 2015. Though he was our first hire, Josh was part of the FEED family long before the restaurant was born. Paths crossed through his wife Michelle, a sales representative for Athens Distributing, and Josh joined the team, bringing with him a dedication to his craft and years of experience.

For Josh, bartending is more than just a job, it is a passion. While he poured drinks, he also developed a relationship with those at the bar, making a new friend with each drop of a coaster. To his coworkers, Josh was a mentor, teaching others the ins and outs of bartending. To customers at the bar, Josh was a familiar face and FEED favorite.

Life changed dramatically for Josh in early January when he suffered a Stage 4 stroke. The stroke left him paralyzed on his left side, unable to walk or move his legs. Through determination and dedication, Josh is getting stronger each day and is expected to make a full recovery. While he is overcoming challenges, there are still many obstacles that lie ahead both physically and financially. Though his infectious personality and dry sense of humor have never wavered, extensive rehabilitation and therapy will be needed to help Josh return to his former self. This treatment comes at high cost. With mounting medical bills, Josh, Michelle and young children, Cyrus and Vivian are packing up and moving to Memphis to be near family and to continue rehab at Health South Memphis.

Through our business, we seek to FEED souls, just as we FEED stomachs. We invite you to join us in supporting Josh through his journey and helping his family as they begin a new chapter in West Tennessee. Josh, Michelle, Cyrus and Vivian and to our loyal supporters, we thank you for being a part of our FEED family.
