Chef Charlie Takes on The Southern Wing Showdown

Chef Charlie is taking his signature wings on the road for the Springer Mountain Farms Southern Wings Showdown. On Sunday, August 5th, 30 chefs from all over the Southeast will gather in Atlanta, putting their wing recipes to the test, all with hopes of taking home the title of “Best Wings in the South.”

The Southern Wing Showdown isn’t a new event for Chef Charlie and the FEED team. They were awarded 2nd Place honors in 2016 before winning 1st Place in the 2017 competition with the restaurant’s signature recipe.

Not only does the event offer 30 unique wing recipes, drinks and music, it supports charities making a difference. Proceeds from the 2018 Southern Wing Showdown will benefit Angel Flight Soars, a non-profit that arranges free non-emergency flights to medical treatment and Second Helpings Atlanta, a food rescue organization whose mission is to fight hunger and reduce waste in metro Atlanta by rescuing surplus food and delivering it to those in need.
