FEEDing the Cause: 3 Blind Wines

For FEED Table & Tavern co-owners, Leslie and Miguel Morales, cystic fibrosis (CF) is a cause that not only impacts their hearts, but also their family. Like many others, the couple knew very little about the disease until a close family friend learned that their newborn daughter tested positive for cystic fibrosis.

Understanding the uncertainties that come along with having a sick child, the Morales family looked for ways to support their friends, as well as others struggling with the daily battles which accompany cystic fibrosis. They wanted to do more than lift the family in prayer and provide a shoulder to cry on; they desired to learn more about the disease and how they could help in finding a cure.

As they learned more about cystic fibrosis and the impact it has on 30,000 people throughout the United States, they also saw the strides that research has provided towards understanding this complex disease. They discovered that the funds raised for CF were being used to improve treatments, advance drug development, add tomorrows and help those living with the disease to lead fuller and more productive lives. Leslie and Miguel joined the fight to find a cure for cystic fibrosis in hopes that one day no family has to face the same battle.

Giving back to the community has always been an important part of the duo’s business ventures. They opened FEED Co. Table & Tavern in August 2015, determined to be more than just another Southside restaurant. Their vision was to become a cornerstone in the community, FEEDing your soul and the cause simultaneously.

Please join us in celebrating a wonderful evening, while helping to find a cure for cystic fibrosis.
